At the end of the course the learner will be able to:
Use different machine types, identify functions, uses and problems
Identify seam, stitch and thread types
Identify different attachments, work aids and needle types
Identify different types of trimmings and interlinings
Operate different machine types and evaluate their performance,
Select and prepare fabric for cutting and fusing
Complete garments according to customer specifications.

Basic settings on lockstitch and chain-stitch machines
Checking for: Needle thread and needle breakage,
Slipped stitches, seam puckering and slipped stitches,
Needle damage
